Rensselaer County Roblox How to Get Dashcam Guide

Dashcam mode in Rensselaer County is a built-in camera perspective that players can toggle while seated in any vehicle using dedicated keyboard controls or setting it as default in game options.

How Do You Activate Dashcam in Rensselaer County?

Dashcam view is activated directly from the driver seat by pressing the camera mode toggle keybind. On PC, the default input to switch into the dashcam camera mode is Left Alt. You can verify and adjust this input through the vehicle controls menu overlay.

1. Enter the driver seat of any vehicle spawned from your garage.
2. Ensure you understand how to drive, shifting your transmission into gear using the proper keybinds.
3. Press Left Alt on your keyboard to switch into the dashcam perspective.
4. Hold Left Alt while inside the vehicle to pan the camera view from side to side to check mirrors or blind spots.
5. Release the key to return the camera angle smoothly back to front-facing center.

The dashcam view gives players a realistic windshield perspective, complementing vehicle functions such as toggling fog lights with K. Unlike restricted vehicle perks detailed in the gamepasses store, camera perspectives are standard features available across the entire cars list.

How Do You Set Dashcam as Your Default Driving Camera?

The default vehicle camera is configured through the in-game options menu so dashcam perspective activates automatically every time you enter an automobile. You do not need to manually cycle viewpoints upon entering your car once this preference is set.

1. Open the in-game settings panel on your screen.
2. Locate the default vehicle camera configuration dropdown.
3. Select dashcam instead of the classic chase camera option.
4. Toggle the controls menu display if you prefer to hide the keybind prompts while cruising.

According to community documentation on the Rensselaer County Wiki, client settings save locally to maintain preferred driving views across play sessions.

Which In-Game Features Complement Dashcam Driving?

In-car electronics are integrated alongside the dashcam view to simulate real vehicle operations through your character's smartphone. The virtual phone app lets you inspect detailed vehicle specifications while sitting inside the cabin.

Features operable from the phone app include:

• Remote door lock and unlock commands
• Walkway lock and proximity unlock options
• Speed-sensitive auto-lock and parking brake lock configurations
• Remote engine start, horn honking, and strobe flashlights

For audio during dashcam driving, players who purchase the Music Phone Application pass for 40 Robux gain access to input track IDs, which pairs well when looking up music codes to customize the cabin environment.
